Description: Toro produces some of the largest blueberries you'll find on any highbush variety, with mid-season fruit that's firm, sweet, and almost too beautiful to eat. It's a vigorous, upright grower that performs very well in our WNC mountain climate and has the kind of visual impact at the farmers market or on the kitchen counter that makes people stop and ask what variety it is. For gardeners who want a showstopper, Toro is the one. Self-fertile; however, they will produce a higher yield when planted with another North Highbush variety that blooms at the same time. Blooms mid spring.
